New photo

Because the Engineers Club building faces the north, it is infrequent that the lighting is just so that allows the optimum exposurer. As a summer storm approaches, the muted sunlight and the dark clouds over Kettering provide the perfect back drop and I was fortunate to be there with my camera.

Beautiful shot!
The water feature in the foreground is a model of the hydraulic jump used in the Miami Conservancy District dams. Engineered by Arthur Morgan, it dissipates energy from high waters by redirecting the flow against itself. Aside from the water, there are no moving parts. Morgan was an early member of the Engineers Club of Dayton.
